The Advantages of Using Technical Analysis in Forex Trading

If you are a new forex trader, then you must know the advantages of using technical analysis. Technical analysis is a subject that studies the past price action to predict the future price action. It is also known as charting. It is science plus an art that pro traders use to make their trades.
Technical Analysis is based on the Dow Theory. Dow theory in nutshell says that you can use the past price action to predict the future price action. These prices are supposed to incorporate all the publicly available information about that market.

As a trader, you need to understand the importance of technical analysis (TA). Without it, you will never have a clue as to how the price action is behaving. Technical analysis will help you make sense of the chaotic price moves made in the market. There is a lot of noise in the market but with the help of TA, you will be able to filter out noise and see a certain pattern emerging that will tell you how to make your trade.
So how does technical analysis works? TA uses charts to show price action and then applies indicators on that price action to predict the turning points in the price action. Mastering the technique of predicting those turning points in the market is what forex trading is all about. If you can learn this art of TA, you can make a fortune in forex.
There are many types of charts that one can use in TA. The most important are the bar charts, candlestick charts, point and figure charts and renko charts. Drawing trendlines on these charts will show you where the market is heading. These trendlines are considered to be very important TA tool. However, the most popular is the candlestick charts. Candlestick charts were invented by Japanese rice traders in the 16th century. Over the centuries, these charts have been developed into a precise art that predicts the behavior of the market in the near future.
There are many candlestick patterns that predict when the market is about to make a turn. You should master these patterns. There are a number of technical indicators like the MACD, Stochastic, RSI, CCI etc. Master at least two. The best are the MACD and the Stochastic. Combine them with candlestick charts and you got a very powerful technical analysis tool that will tell you exactly where to enter the market and where to exit with the precise stop loss position.
